We constructed a wash-area for the school’s canteen to facilitate easy access of water. Apart from convenience, this wash-area will provide a channel for clean water, which contributes to better hygiene standards.

We took part in activities like farming, charcoal making & otah making in order to facilitate this culture immersion. Through these activities we overcame much of the language barrier. We also had a cooking carnival to share our local cuisine.

This year, HAK 13 targetted the teaching the staff at the Ministry of Education in Hin Heub District, a 15minute drive from our Pong Song village. This would be more sustainable in helping the teachers spread IT literacy in the villages. English lessons were conducted in a fun environment with a workbook with pictures and Lao translations to aid in our lessons.
